The WineStone Group believes that an appropriate Food Safety and Sustainability Policy is a fundamental instrument of its growth strategy and a success factor for its operations.
Aware of the existing challenges, the organization is committed to:
- Producing a range of wines that aims to respond to the national and global markets, always associated with a reference brand;
- Involve the people of the regions where its assets are located (Alentejo, Douro, Vinhos Verdes and Lisboa), seeking to attract, retain and qualify talent;
- Ensuring regular internal communication of good food safety, environmental and occupational health and safety practices, guaranteeing that everyone has the right skills and conditions to carry out their duties;
- Encouraging autonomy, critical thinking and continuous learning among all employees;
- Promoting relationships of trust and loyalty between employees and other stakeholders, based on values of ethics, honesty and fairness;
- To fulfil the commitments established with clients and other interested parties, namely in terms of food safety and sustainability;
- Empowering our suppliers to fulfil the mandatory supply, food safety and sustainability requirements, by establishing effective communication and carrying out a periodic assessment of their performance;
- Guarantee external communication channels so that information flows efficiently between the various stakeholders;
- Make production processes more efficient, ensuring compliance with legal food safety requirements;
- Adopting strategies to adapt to and mitigate climate change, preserving the biodiversity of the ecosystems in which we operate, minimizing our impact on natural resources and acting responsibly;
- Promote a culture of food safety to improve the performance and consistency of the Integrated Food Safety and Sustainability Management System (SIGSAS) and the company's reputation;
- To promote the continuous improvement of SIGSAS, encouraging curiosity and the constant search for new solutions and opportunities.
